Arch Semester Away International Opportunities

Students may choose to participate in an affiliated exchange, non-affiliated study abroad, research or other international academic opportunity during the Arch semester away.  The Office of International Programs will support students in their search for a suitable study abroad or other academic opportunity.  Students who wish to pursue an international co-op or other paid professional experience should contact the Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD).

Application Process
Students who wish to study abroad during the Arch semester away should follow the regular exchange/study abroad application procedures.  Detailed application instructions and deadlines can be found here.  In addition, limited research opportunities may be available at partner institutions. Information will be posted on the OIP website/application portal.

Approval and Registration
A student must be in good academic standing and free of any ‘holds’ on their student account in order to receive approval. Students who participate in an approved activity will remain registered at Rensselaer during the Arch.

Financial Aid
Students may apply one their 8 semesters of Rensselaer aid for participation in an affiliated exchange program during the Arch semester away, subject to eligibility.  Students should discuss all financial aid matters with the Rensselaer Office of Financial Aid.
